Don’t Forget Whose You Are: Revelation 7: 15-17

Revelation 7:15-17 (Bear with the length, it really is worth it!!!)

“They are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple, and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them nor any scorching heat.  For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd;  he will lead them to springs of living water and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

I know I had last month’s devotion, but this thought hit me hard, and I want to share it with you: You know, its so easy to get frustrated and bitter in life.  Things never work out the way you want them to, and we get hurt by people and ourselves.  But as you read this passage, simply remember: You belong to God.  You have been bought at a price.

This scripture simply tells us that though things are tough now, and Jesus told us we would face trials and tribulations in life (John 16:33), a time is coming when all pain, sorrow, stress, sin and death. will be done away with.  He will wipe away every tear, and be our God. Close your eyes for a moment and imagine what that will be like!!

Be encouraged this week and month.  Though it may be rough, Christ has promised us that he will return. And even if he doesn”t in our lifetimes, we still have a paradise, a renew earth (read Rev. 21) to look forward to where we will be perfected and live with Christ!! Keep Your head up!! Take Heart because Jesus overcame this world and because of him, so will we!

God Bless, and finish strong! We love You guys!
